PROF. GRAHAM LOOMES

Graham Loomes is a non-exclusive affiliate of Fideres. He is Emeritus Professor of Behavioral Science in the Business School at the University of Warwick and is a Fellow of the British Academy. He was an early proponent of behavioral economics, with a particular focus on understanding people’s expressed preferences and decision-making under risk and uncertainty. He has undertaken studies for a number of government departments and agencies such as the Dft, DEFRA, and HSE, and is familiar with the strengths and limitations of a range of techniques for eliciting people’s values for health, safety, and environmental goods. He also studied applications of behavioral economics to consumer behavior and has testified as an expert on behavioral economics at the Competition Appeals Tribunal.
