PROF. ROBERT CLARK
Robert Clark serves as Professor and the Stephen J.R. Smith Chair in Economic Policy at Queen’s University, having specialized in industrial organization and applied microeconomics. He has consulted on and served as an expert for competition cases before Canadian courts on industries spanning telecommunications to energy. Moreover, he has served as an expert consulting on investigations by the Competition Bureau of Canada. His research has explored key antitrust topics including hub-and-spoke cartels, algorithmic pricing and collusion, and bid-rigging. Professor Clark has been published in top academic journals like the American Economic Review, the Journal of Political Economy, and the Journal of Industrial Economics. He also co-authored the chapter “The Industrial Organization of Financial Markets” for the 2021 edition of the Handbook of Industrial Organization. He is currently a Fellow at the Bank of Canada and at CIRANO and has previously served as a Professor of Economics at HEC Montreal.
