Matt joined Fideres in 2023. He has over 19 years of experience providing expert economic analysis in all aspects of public and private competition law enforcement: antitrust litigation, cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, merger reviews, and competition policy.

Matt has advised companies and public bodies across a range of industries including digital markets, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail, consumer products, industrial products, agriculture, freight transport and postal services. He has been involved in matters with authorities and courts in various
jurisdictions including the European Union and EU countries, the UK, the US and several other European and non-European countries.

Prior to joining Fideres, Matt has worked at global economic consultancies Charles River Associates and Alvarez & Marsal, as an independent consultant, at the UK Competition Authority (then the Office of Fair Trading), and as a competition expert with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Athens University of Economics and Business in Greece, and postgraduate degrees in economics from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom and the European University Institute in Italy.

He is fluent in English and Greek.
