ABUL FAZAL
Abul joined Fideres in July 2026. He is an experienced competition and regulatory economist with nearly a decade of experience advising clients on complex matters including mergers, market investigations, antitrust cases, litigation, and policy assessments, and across sectors such as digital markets, financial services, payments, and energy.
Before joining Fideres, Abul worked as an economic consultant at FTI Consulting and, most recently, Compass Lexecon, where he was a Senior Economist. His experience also includes a secondment to the UK Competition and Markets Authority, where he worked on digital markets cases, and a secondment to Visa Europe's Regulatory Affairs team, where he worked on market reviews by the UK Payment Systems Regulator. He began his career at Deloitte UK, where he focused on the valuation of financial instruments for banking audit clients.
Abul holds an MSc in Machine Learning and Data Science (with Distinction) from Imperial College London, alongside an MSc and BSc (First Class Honours) in Economics from the London School of Economics. He is particularly interested in applying modern computational techniques to applied economic and regulatory problems.
