Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro and Charles Lyndon win carriage dispute on landmark Amazon Buybox consumers class action.

Evidence from Fideres and its in-house expert proved decisive in winning the carriage dispute between rival class actions. The Expert report analysed Amazon’s market power within the relevant market and the anticompetitive nature of its conduct in manipulating the algorithm that allocates the Buy Box. It set out a damages analysis that quantified the harmful impact of the anticompetitive conduct on a class of more than 50 million consumers.

Burford funds institutional shareholder claims in the Dutch federal court against Steinhoff

Burford Capital represented a group of leading institutional investors in securing a substantial recovery from Steinhoff International’s €6.5 billion accounting fraud.

Fideres provided expert analysis on share price inflation, as well individual claimant losses across numerous portfolios, helping achieve a 100% acceptance rate of claims by both the settlement administrator and Steinhoff’s expert.
